It’s about shaping the way a home feels from the inside out.

When beautiful homes come together, it’s never by accident - it’s thoughtful planning, collaboration and attention to detail from day one.

This is what I love: being involved from the planning stage. Being involved at the planning stage makes all the difference. It allows window furnishings to become part of the architectural conversation - not an afterthought. From ceiling allowances to fabric direction and automation options, every detail is intentional.

In the living area, the brief was clear: maximise the light, light-filled and relaxed, while still offering privacy and functionality. By being involved at the planning stage, I was able to work alongside the Coastline Builders team to ensure pelmet allowances, stacking space and fabric choices were considered early. The result? Beautifully tailored sheer curtains layered with blockout solutions that enhance the architectural lines without overwhelming them. The window furnishings don’t feel “added on” - they feel built in.

In the two secondary bedrooms, practicality met style. The brief focused on durability, privacy and ease of use. Carefully selected venetian PVC blinds provide clean lines and effective light control, while maintaining the cohesive palette of the home. Each space feels considered, calm and consistent.

With the main bedroom, we want to maintain our consistency, with some system, allowing for the flexibility of semi-privacy and blockout. This space called for warmth, texture and a touch of luxury. Because the window furnishings were discussed early in the design phase, proportions, mounting positions and finishes will align perfectly with the room’s scale and mood.

A huge thank you to Rowan and the entire Coastline Builders team for their support and collaboration throughout the process. Working alongside builders who value design continuity ensures each home feels complete, cohesive and truly special.

At MG Curtains and Blinds, it’s never just about covering a window - it’s about shaping the way a home feels from the inside out.
