Reflecting on a big week at MG Curtains and Blinds, one thing stands out: every home visit brings a different conversation. This week has been full of sheers, linen, fabric combinations, shutters, roller blinds and even triple layering. Plenty of beautiful possibilities, all starting with the same thing. Listening to you.
When I arrive at your home, I come with no expectations about what you should choose. I want to hear what you love, what frustrates you about your current window coverings and how you use each space. Perhaps you want to soften a room, manage the afternoon sun, create more privacy or finally bring together a look you have been imagining for years.
You might have a clear vision, a folder full of inspiration or absolutely no idea where to begin. There is room for all of that.
This week, we have explored the softness of sheers, the natural texture of linen and how different fabrics work together. We have talked through the appeal of shutters, the practicality of roller blinds and the possibilities of combining three layers to give a room more flexibility.
Of course, every option comes with things to consider. A fabric you love might need another layer to deliver the privacy you want. Shutters need to suit the window and allow for access and opening. Triple layering can offer flexibility, but it also needs enough space and a clear purpose for each layer.
That is where an honest conversation makes all the difference.
My role is to guide you through the pros and cons, explain what will work and be upfront about what will not. We look at samples in your home, consider them alongside your existing colours and finishes, and work towards choices that feel right for both your space and your everyday life.
